  • We are open seasonally, offering Ayahuasca ceremonies and shamanic dietas as scheduled. We can be flexible for those that have schedule limitations. Just send us an email to find out if we can arrange something for you. Each and every ceremony conducted at our Lodge is guided by our resident shaman, Luco and is assisted by our staff and apprentices. Luco brings his many years of experience in Amazonian Shamanic Medicine to the 'mesa' during ceremony.

    Information about the location:

Lupuna Medicine Lodge is located in the Amazonian jungle village of Jenaro Herrera, on the banks od the Ucayali River, and about 200km from the city of Iquitos. Our village borders the edge of the Pacaya-Samira Rainforest Preserve and National Forest, about a ten-minute boat ride away. We live in one of the most biodeiverse regions of the Amazon and have access to hiking trails that lead from our lodge into the forest, to observe the amazing life of the jungle. The village itself is a safe and friendly place, filled with smiling faces that eager to practice saying "hello" in the foreign languages that pass through. The pace of life here is a lot slower than modern world of large cities, creating the perfect setting for deep personal work, reflection and down time. There is a simple morning market where local foods, fresh juice and smoothies and handicrafts can be purchased, as well as a few other stores that are open daily and carry more items and supplies. We ask our visitors to keep in mind that the village and its people live simply and modestly, we encourage you to come here with an openess of mind and a desire to explore new ways of living.
